THE ROBOT READINESS TEST · PERFORMANCE REPORT

84/ 160

The Explorer

A Robot Readiness Score between 80 and 99 puts you in the Explorer band. What decides an Explorer profile is rarely the overall number — it is the distance between your highest and lowest dimension. The report below spends its time on that distance, dimension by dimension, quoting the answers that produced each one.

BEFORE YOU START

How to read this report

This report was built from one thing only: the 25 answers you gave. No question of the test measures knowledge — each one put you in a situation and read what you chose to do. What follows is what those choices have in common.

Every claim shows its evidence. Wherever this report says something about you, it quotes the answers that produced that reading — so you can judge each statement against what you actually said, and disagree with it in the open.

It reads habits, not intelligence. The Robot Readiness Test is a behavioral self-assessment. It is not an IQ test, and it is not a scientifically validated psychometric instrument — it is a structured, honest reading of your choices.

The useful part is the uneven part. Your profile is decided by its contrasts more than by its level. Read the tensions first, then the dimension pages, and treat the 30-day plan as the part of this document that expects something back.

01 WHAT YOUR ANSWERS REVEALED

Twenty-five questions produced one number, seven scores and — more usefully — the places where your own answers do not agree with each other. Those are listed below. The rest of this report is the evidence for them: your answers, quoted, with what they have in common. Nothing here is a personality type. Everything here is something you can check.

  1. You understand the change faster than you live it
  2. You move faster than you verify

Every claim in this report is followed by the answers that produced it. If a reading looks wrong to you, the evidence is right there to argue with — which is the point. A profile you cannot contest is not worth much.

02 WHAT YOUR ANSWERS CONTRADICT

You understand the change faster than you live it

The answers behind this

Q08 — NO TRAINING

A powerful new tool is spreading through your industry, but your employer hasn’t provided training. What do you do?

Wait for official training.

Q17 — EXPERTISE AUTOMATED

A skill you’ve spent years mastering suddenly becomes much easier to automate. Which reaction is closest to yours?

Wait to see whether the technology lasts.

Your answers show accurate reading of what is shifting, and consistently slower movement in response to it. Those two things travel together more often than people expect: understanding a change well enough to describe it produces a feeling of having dealt with it. The analysis becomes the response. This costs nothing while the change is still forming, and everything at the moment it lands — because the change was visible and the starting point is still zero, alongside the people who never saw it at all.

You move faster than you verify

The answers behind this

Q02 — HALF THE ROUTINE WORK

A new AI system can perform around half of the routine tasks in your current role. What do you do first?

Start using it for everything it can handle.

Q03 — SYNTHETIC VIDEO

A highly convincing video shows a major political leader announcing something shocking. You can’t immediately tell whether it’s real. What’s your first move?

Ask an AI whether it is fake.

Q04 — HOUSEHOLD ROBOT

A household robot can cook, clean, carry objects and move freely around your home. Independent safety testing is strong. How would you approach it?

Use it immediately for almost everything.

The answers above pair speed with a light touch on checking — the checking step is absent rather than shortened. An instinct reliable enough for long enough stops being examined. That instinct was built in a world where producing something convincing took effort. It no longer does. The specific failure to expect is not a bad decision made quickly; it is a good decision made quickly on a fluent, well-formed, entirely wrong input.

04 WHAT SETS YOU APART

Reality Check

50 / 100 · most distinctive dimension

This dimension sets you apart more than it lifts you. Your verification is strict in some scenarios and notably relaxed in others, and the split does not track how much was at stake. Knowing which is which is the entire task here — and it is far less work than the alternative, which is becoming skeptical about everything.

05 YOUR FUTURE PATTERN

The Human Edge

Your answers lean toward protecting what stays human, though a second pattern runs close. That usually means the position is genuine but not yet load-bearing — it guides you where the stakes are visible and gives way where they are not.

You said what matters most is protecting what is distinctly human. Your answers back that up, so the question is no longer whether you hold the position but whether you can defend it — and defending it well depends on the dimensions above far more than on conviction.

06 DIMENSION BY DIMENSION

AI Fluency

29/100

EMERGING

You answered as someone who has not yet had a reason to use these tools seriously.

The answers that held this back

Q09 — AI DISAGREES

You’ve spent two hours analyzing a difficult problem. An AI reaches the opposite conclusion and provides convincing reasoning. What do you do?

Ask another AI.

Q20 — AI COSTLY MISTAKE

An AI tool you’ve relied on makes a significant mistake. What happens to your trust?

Stop using it for important tasks.

Q01 — FLIGHT REBOOKING

Your flight is canceled. Your AI assistant finds another option leaving in 90 minutes. It can rebook it for you. What do you want it to do?

I wouldn’t give an AI system access to make travel purchases.

What this says

The answers above have one thing in common: in each, you kept the task where it was. Not out of distrust — you rarely chose the skeptical option either — but because moving it never came up as a possibility. This is the profile of someone who has read about AI more than they have used it.

The answers that carried it

Q16 — AI CREATED BETTER WORK

An AI produces a presentation, analysis or creative piece that is better than what you could have made alone. How do you react?

Great — output quality matters.

Q03 — SYNTHETIC VIDEO

A highly convincing video shows a major political leader announcing something shocking. You can’t immediately tell whether it’s real. What’s your first move?

Ask an AI whether it is fake.

Your edge

You have no bad habits to unlearn. People who adopted these tools early are now undoing workflows they built around capabilities that changed underneath them. You start from a clean page, at a moment when the tools are far better than they were when the early adopters formed their habits.

Watch out for

The cost is not falling behind — it is losing the ability to judge. Fluency is what lets you tell a good output from a plausible one. Without hours on the tools, you will eventually have to accept or reject AI work on someone else’s word, at exactly the point where the decision matters.

Next move

Take one task you did this week and redo it with an AI assistant. Not to save time — to see where it is wrong. The goal of the first ten hours is calibration, not productivity.

Digital Autonomy

29/100

EMERGING

Your answers hand over access and control without a boundary attached.

The answers that held this back

Q05 — EMPLOYER AI DATA ACCESS

Your employer introduces an AI assistant that can read documents, emails and internal messages to help you work faster. What’s the first thing you’d want to know?

Whether it improves my performance review.

Q01 — FLIGHT REBOOKING

Your flight is canceled. Your AI assistant finds another option leaving in 90 minutes. It can rebook it for you. What do you want it to do?

I wouldn’t give an AI system access to make travel purchases.

Q13 — AI KNOWS YOU

An AI assistant becomes dramatically more useful if it accesses your calendar, email, purchases, location and personal history. How do you decide what to share?

Avoid connecting personal information.

What this says

The answers above share a structure: you evaluated each situation on whether the benefit was real and the provider trustworthy, and both are reasonable questions. What is missing is the third one — what happens when I want this back. None of your answers reserved a way out.

The answers that carried it

Q22 — AI MEMORY

Your AI assistant remembers every conversation and uses that memory to personalize advice. How do you feel?

Uncomfortable even with controls.

Q14 — ALGORITHMIC REJECTION

An automated system rejects your application for a loan, job or service. What concerns you most?

Whether a human reviewed it.

Your edge

You get the full benefit of these systems. People who withhold access on principle get a degraded version of every tool and frequently do not realise how degraded.

Watch out for

What you gave away is not the data, it is the option. Access accumulates quietly and is difficult to reverse — not because anyone refuses, but because by then the arrangement is load-bearing. The cost appears at the moment you want to change something, which is the moment you have least leverage.

Next move

Take the one system with the deepest access to your work and answer this: if you stopped using it next month, what would you lose and how would you get it back? If you cannot answer, that is the dependency worth reducing first.

Future Awareness

26/100

EMERGING

Your answers respond to changes that have already arrived.

The answers that held this back

Q15 — QUANTUM HEADLINE

You see: “Quantum breakthrough could make today’s internet security obsolete.” What is your instinct?

Ignore it as hype.

Q21 — INDUSTRY TRANSFORMATION

When thinking about how technology could transform your industry over the next ten years, which question comes most naturally?

Are ten-year predictions useful at all?

What this says

In the situations above your answers engaged with what was in front of you and did not extend past it. The scenarios that rewarded reading a direction rather than a state are the ones that pulled this score down. That is a description of where your attention went, not of how well you think — you read the present carefully.

Next move

Once a month, spend twenty minutes on one question: what is different now from a year ago in my field? Not predictions — differences. Direction becomes visible from a sequence of differences.

Adaptability

38/100

EMERGING

Your answers consistently wait for the situation to settle before committing.

The answers that held this back

Q08 — NO TRAINING

A powerful new tool is spreading through your industry, but your employer hasn’t provided training. What do you do?

Wait for official training.

Q24 — TRANSFORMATION ADVANTAGE

If an unfamiliar technology suddenly transforms your industry, which advantage matters most?

Being younger.

What this says

In each scenario above you chose the option that preserved the current state until more was known. Taken one at a time each choice is defensible. Taken together they describe a rule: when uncertain, hold. The rule is doing more work in your decisions than the individual situations are.

Next move

Find one decision you have been holding and make the smallest reversible version of it this week. The goal is not the outcome — it is to discover that moving early is cheaper than it feels.

Future of Work

42/100

DEVELOPING

You can see the change coming and not yet your own place in it.

The answers that held this back

Q17 — EXPERTISE AUTOMATED

A skill you’ve spent years mastering suddenly becomes much easier to automate. Which reaction is closest to yours?

Wait to see whether the technology lasts.

Q02 — HALF THE ROUTINE WORK

A new AI system can perform around half of the routine tasks in your current role. What do you do first?

Start using it for everything it can handle.

What this says

Your answers above show real awareness of what is shifting — you were not surprised by any of the scenarios. What is missing is the second step: in each case you described what would happen without describing what you would do. Diagnosis without positioning is what this score describes.

Next move

Name one skill in your work that is becoming cheaper, and one that is becoming scarcer. Then spend two hours this month on the second. Two hours, once — the point is to convert the analysis into a move.

Human + Machine

46/100

DEVELOPING

You sense there is a line worth holding, and it moves depending on what is at stake.

The answers that held this back

Q11 — AI VS DOCTOR

An AI medical system and an experienced doctor recommend different next steps. The AI has a stronger statistical track record for this specific type of case. What matters most?

Follow the doctor.

Reality Check

50/100

DEVELOPING

You check what feels wrong, and not what feels right.

The answers that held this back

Q03 — SYNTHETIC VIDEO

A highly convincing video shows a major political leader announcing something shocking. You can’t immediately tell whether it’s real. What’s your first move?

Ask an AI whether it is fake.

07 YOUR 30-DAY PLAN

1 Move from checking with AI to thinking with it

AI Fluency

  1. Week 1Change nothing. Just keep a note of every time you used an AI tool this week, and whether it came before or after you had decided the answer. Count only.
  2. Week 2Take one recurring task and start it with the tool instead of finishing with it. Same task, reversed order. Note where the discomfort was about quality and where it was about authorship.
  3. Week 3Push it until it breaks. Give the tool a problem you are fairly sure it will get wrong, and watch exactly how it fails. Knowing the shape of the failure is what lets you trust the successes.
  4. Week 4Decide what you keep. Name one task that now starts with the tool by default, and one you have decided it will not touch. Both halves matter.

2 Learn to see change while it is still forming

Future Awareness

  1. Week 1Pick one change you noticed late. Work backwards: what was visible six months earlier, and where would you have had to be looking?
  2. Week 2Ask someone whose work barely overlaps with yours what they think is changing. Not to act on it — to find out what your attention has been dropping.
  3. Week 3Write down two futures you consider plausible and what would distinguish them. Two, not one. The discipline is in holding both.
  4. Week 4For each, name the earliest signal that would tell you which is happening. A scenario without a signal is a daydream.

3 Find out what you have already handed over

Digital Autonomy

  1. Week 1Open the permissions on the two systems you use most and read what you have already granted. Read, do not change anything yet. The gap between what you expected and what you find is the whole finding.
  2. Week 2For the system with the deepest access, answer this in writing: if you stopped using it next month, what would you lose and how would you get it back?
  3. Week 3Test one exit for real. Export the data, try the alternative for a day. An escape route that has never been walked is a plan, not a route.
  4. Week 4Set a recurring thirty minutes, twice a year, to re-read what you have delegated. It is the least interesting item in this plan and the most likely to matter.

08 HOW YOUR SCORE IS CALCULATED

Your Robot Readiness Score of 84 was not produced by a black box. Here is the mechanism, in full.

1 · Every answer carries weight. Each of the 25 scenarios offers choices that reflect different ways of handling intelligent machines. Each choice you made carries a set of weights across the seven dimensions — some questions speak to one dimension, most speak to several.

2 · Seven dimension scores. Your weights add up into a 0–100 score per dimension. These are the seven numbers behind the radar chart, and the raw material of every page of this report.

3 · One scale, centered on 100. Your dimension scores combine into a single score placed on the 40–160 scale. The scale is built so that 100 is its center — the everyday middle. Its format resembles IQ scores; that resemblance is a presentation choice, nothing more.

4 · What your score is compared against. The scale itself — not other people. Your score is a position on a published rule, not a ranking in a population.
